Its a funny thing in design that sometimes you don’t hit the sweet spot. I don’t even know how many websites I have created, however, there are a few that tend to get me more work than others, or that I am known form. Usually, its no accident that when clients trust me as the designer and pretty much say “Go for it” my designs are much better. The other one I get from clients is “You know I think it would be better this way, or that way. Or why don’y you try this color, or this gradient. Or how about a cool animated gif eagle with a US flag to show my patriotism!” I love it when clients become the experts in design :).
Anyway, one such sweet spot was reached after the 9th template (yes sometimes I change up that much) for www.97thfloor.com. Its my brothers search engine optimization firm, so he let me just do what I thought was best. The result has given me probably 10-12 clients. This website hasn’t got me any yet. Its the whole mechanic with a crappy car syndrom. Anyway, just a little blurb for today on finding that sweet spot and showing everybody.
